Tutorial: How to make "Ice Cream" Sugar Cookies

Is it just me or do you seem to find some of the cutest ideas AFTER a party?! :) I just came across this great tutorial via pinterest. You can view the full post and tutorial HERE! Looks like ice cream, but they are actually sugar cookies! They would be perfect to go along with your Ice Cream Parlor printables!

Tutorial: How to Make Cupcake Toppers

Hey Friends! Sorry I've been MIA lately. My husband was out of town last week and I had a small glimpse of life as a single mom. Whew! Hats off to those ladies!!

So I've had lots of customers ask about the details of making cupcake toppers. I put together a little tutorial to show you how very simple they are to assemble. Cuteness in just minutes! :)

Materials Needed:
four inch lollipop sticks
two inch scallop punch
scissors
glue
Sweet Peach Printable Cupcake Toppers
Step 1: Cut your printable file into strips.
Step 2: Using the two inch scallop punch (or circle punch if you desire), center and slowly punch.

Step 3: Attach the scallop to a 4 inch lollipop stick with glue. I love clear fast drying glue, but simple Elmer's works just fine. Another option would be to attach the stick using 1 inch circle labels that are sold by Avery.Step 4: Insert your adorable cupcake topper and voila!

I didn't have any cupcakes in my house today, but there were a few leftover donuts from the daddy-daughters date this weekend. Pretty cute idea for a brunch or fun breakfast!

Tutorial: Ice Cream Sundae Cupcakes

Loving these!! Kate from And Everything Sweet gives a great tutorial for making these adorable ice cream sundae cupcakes! Her secret.... the "ice cream" is actually frozen buttercream icing! The look of an ice cream sundae without melting! I'll definitely be giving this recipe a try!

Party Favors: Sweet Shoppe Sidewalk Chalk

This week may just be full of party idea posts! I wish I had more time to cruise party blogs, but unfortunately, my days are too busy with eating bon bons and watching Golden Girls. However, I have been on the search for the girls' birthday party and came across another cute and easy idea. We all like easy!! Thought this would be a great favor for the Sweet Shoppe Collection. Thanks Mighty Girl for the cutesy favor idea. My girls love sidewalk chalk! The evidence is on our patio furniture that the girls decided to decorate this afternoon when the sidewalk was "too full". Oh my sweet 3 year olds to be! :)

Tutorial: Ice Cream Cone Party Hat

So I've been on the hunt for fun ideas for the girls' ice cream parlor party! How cute is this! Ice Cream Cone Party Hats! I dont' know that my girls would actually keep them on, but I may have to give these a try. I'll let you know how it goes! :)

Ice Cream Cone Party Hat

1. Prepare the ice cream cone first. Glue large sprinkles onto the base of the cone with white Elmer’s glue. Make a hole into the top of the cone and insert a foil cake topper (ours is from ABC Cake Decorating in Orange, CA). If you don’t have a foil topper you can use your own home made streamers.

2. Using crepe paper, make 2 rosettes. This cute polka dot streamer is from Party City. With a hot glue gun, glue the cone onto the first rosette. Then glue the rosette/cone onto a plain headband. This simple headband is from H&M.

3. Using hot glue, glue the second rosette to the bottom so the headband is sandwiched between the two rosettes. See photo below. Voila! An ice cream cone party hat!

Cupcake Stand Tutorial

How cute are these DIY cupcake stands!! A trip to the Dollar Tree and some spray paint from Home Depot could make a fun little project for your next party! This particular stand would look adorable with my Sweet Shoppe Cupcake collection, but the fun part is that you can make them any colors you want!
