A Dessert Shower

One of the things that I love about making invitations is all the fun new ideas that I hear about... like a dessert shower! What pregnant momma wouldn't be thrilled to have a room full of desserts as her shower theme?! One more for the idea bank. Love that!

John Parker's 1st Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday John Parker! I love 1st birthdays! It's truly more of a celebration for the momma than the baby, but that's almost the way it should be! ;) The first year is hard work!! My girls' 1st birthday was also my first attempt at invitations and party decor and I have been loving it ever since. Birthday number 2 is still a few months away, but my mind is already whirling with ideas!

The "All-American" Shower

A classic monogram invitation for an "All-American" themed shower! Red, white and blue were the requested colors to go along with their shower theme. They are even having The Varsity cater the food. How fun is that!

Allie's Princess Party!

A royal celebration it is sure to be, Princess Allie is turning THREE! :) Our sweet friend Allie is having a birthday soon and I was honored to make the invitations and banner for her princess party! I just love this picture...this is Allie posing so sweetly with my girls last August! :)

Finally... a bride!!

I was so excited to receive this order for bridal shower invitations! It has been baby central, which I love, but was looking forward to using some of my bridal shower ideas. The only request was royal blue and yellow so I was able to design away. A wedding cake for the bride-to-be is what came to be. If you like the style, but desire something less bold, the colors can easily be changed to fit your shower theme.

As cute as a button...

As cute as a button, as sweet as can be, a brand new boy will be joining the Holden Family! How cute is that? I wish I could take credit for it, but that sweet phrase came along with the order. I'll have to steal it for the future though! ;)

The following momma has a very special place in my heart! Laura is also a mommy of twins and over the past year we have become dear friends. The wild part is that we have never even met!! We talk on the phone and email all the time, but have not seen each other face to face. Laura and I have a mutual friend that connected us and the rest is history. When you are a mom of twins, it is really important to have someone who truly understands your day! :)
So these are the cupcake toppers that I made for her twins, Emma Kate and Jackson. They are being dedicated to the Lord next weekend and their sweet momma thought of all the details to celebrate the very special day.

One of Laura's best friends also ordered some toppers for her son, Bradford's dedication. Love the navy and light blue that she chose!

Lauren's Baby Shower

Last weekend, I was honored to help host my dear friend Lauren's baby shower. She is expecting her baby boy the beginning of July and we can't wait to meet him! The parents-to-be are keeping the baby's name a secret until he arrives so the "P" inital is for his last name. Here is a glance at some of the things that were made for her sweet shower...

Welcome Eliza Kate!

Elizabeth Katherine Fokens made her sweet arrival yesterday and now has a sign to welcome her! I was very impressed when our friend Erica put in an order for a sign to go on the hospital door. Great idea! Like me, Erica loves all the little details. I'll have to store that one away for the future. Welcome Eliza Kate! :)

Babies and MORE Babies!

It is definitely the season for baby showers! I was really excited to receive this order for a black and white polka dot and fushia themed shower. My favorite two things... polka dots and pink! Pictures of the coordinating banner are still to come. Too cute!

Ann's Sprinkle

We held a sprinkle for my precious friend Ann this past weekend. It was such a sweet time to celebrate the new baby soon to arrive. We decorated bibs, wrote prayers for Big Sister to say over the baby as well as had a special time of prayer for Ann and Little Blue. Sprinkles are my new favorite idea! :) She is keeping us in suspense as to the gender and name of this bundle-to-be, so we anxiously await his (Mom's hunch) or her arrival!

Tula is behind!

I found this adorable photo on another blog I follow, which she found on wehearit.com. So cute and so ME right now!! I am so behind! For those who know me well, I live by my to-do list. Well my lists have been crazy lately, but I'm getting really close to catching up. I have been wonderfully busy with lots of new orders and have so many fun things to show you... very soon! :)

A Baby "Sprinkle"

Has anyone heard of a baby "sprinkle"? A few months back, I was invited to my first "sprinkle" for the birth of a second child. The idea was completely new to me and now I think it is the sweetest thing! Instead of being "showered" with gifts as you do with first, it is a time to celebrate and make baby #2 feel special and unique. It's also a great reason to get together, make cupcakes and have a girly brunch! :) My sweet friend Ann is having her second surprise in May so we are throwing her a sprinkle in a few weeks. Not even in the mail yet, here is a preview of her invitations. Check back soon for pictures of the banner and cupcake toppers that I'm working on next!

More of the "Pretty and Pregnant" Collection

Holly, one of my BFFs from college, is giving a baby shower soon so I made these pink and green invitations, polka-dot of course, for the honored momma-to-be. I think they turned out so cute and are a top contender among my favorites! :) These 5x7 invitations are professionally printed on 100 lb. matte cardstock or the file can be emailed if you would like to print them yourself. (A great way to save money if you need a large number of invites!)

Also pictured are direction enclosures, coordinating return address labels and party tags. The tags can be attached to lollipop sticks and used as cupcake toppers or punch a hole through the corner, add some ribbon and use as a favor tag. They also look very cute as napkin rings or tied around a vase!

Pretty and Pregnant

I made these notecards for my dear friend Lauren who is pregnant with her first baby boy! Her little belly has officially popped out and she is looking as cute as can be! :) With showers to come and thank yous to write, every momma-to-be needs some personalized notecards.

Lily's Shabby Chic Tea Party

A sweet friend from an old discipleship group contacted me to make some invites for her daughter Lily's 6th birthday. She is having an afternoon high tea and needed an invite to go along with her shabby chic theme. We worked together and came up with these adorable invitations for Lily's big day! I can't wait to see the pictures from this party. Kristen, the party planning mom, has every detail planned to a "tea"! ;)

As I was working on this order, I came down with a really bad eye infection. As a little bonus, I designed some coordinating return address labels to make the wait for these invites a little easier! Thank you, Kristen, for being so patient with me!! :)

Meet Festive Frills!

Introducing Festive Frills for Jacks and Jills! Ashley, another crafty momma, is a sweet friend from my discipleship group that makes the most adorable clips, headbands and so much more! She asked me to make some cards and stickers to package her items for sales. She just sent over these pictures of the cards in use and I think they turned out perfectly for her crafty creations! Miss Hayley's Roller Skating Party

I use to love roller skating! As I worked on this project, I was wishing I would have had a roller skating party once upon a time. Then I remembered, I did!! It was my 25th birthday! What's even more ironic is that we drove FOREVER to get to this rink "up in the suburbs". That same rink is where this party is being held and 5 years later, it's now 5 minutes from our house. Who knew?! The only thing that was missing from my party were these fun invitations and cupcake toppers...

Personalized Noteblocks

How great are these noteblocks? I just love how polka dot ribbon makes everything cuter! I also have to give credit to my dad for making the perfect wooden holders. Thanks Dad! :)
