Polka Dots and Purple

One of my sweet, sweet former classroom moms contacted me to make some fun enclosure cards and jazzy stickers as stocking stuffers. She informed me that purple is the "in" color right now so I hope Kristen and Katie like these fun designs...

Oh Boy! Invites and Banner

Baby blue is nowhere to be seen in our house, but a recent order allowed me to finally search the paper aisle for something other than pink! The choices are far slimmer (why is that?), but I did find a paisley that I loved along with some polka dots and argyles to coordinate my brown and blue theme.

More Christmas Tags

I created a few more gift tags and also made a batch as stickers. I just love anything with an initial or monogram, so I think these are my favorite so far.

Pretty Presents

I admit that I am a girly girl and I like things to be pretty... even my presents! :) My friend Lauren first inspired me to make my presents pretty when she taught me how to make great bows for my packages. Once you know how to tie a pretty ribbon, there is no turning back. Well the same thing goes for gift cards. Gift cards are great. The only thing that I dislike is feeling that it doesn't look like I put much time into your present. For a recent wedding gift, I wanted to give their gift card a little glam. With a bit of effort and personalization, gift cards can be pretty presents too!

And the winner is....

This past Friday, I was a part of the Lakeshore Holiday Market in Windward. Thank you Sarah for hosting the fair in your gorgeous home! (I think I spent half the day admiring her house and beautiful decorations!!!) I also held my first "Gift Tag Giveaway" as a fun extra and am excited to share that Katrin Nelson is the winner! Katrin, please send me your mailing address and I will put your free tags in the mail! :)

All I Want For Christmas...

My sister-in-law told me that all she wanted for Christmas was for me to make her some package tags and enclosure cards. Well, she is definitely getting more than tags for Christmas, but here is a preview of just one. Lots more to come. Beth, don't peak! ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Some fun tags to go along with a Thanksgiving suss... a "suss" is a word my family uses for a little present or surprise gift! :) I love it when the smallest detail makes a plain jane giftbag look a 100 times cuter. Take a little something with you tomorrow and let your host know that you are thankful! Happy Thanksgiving!

An Extra SWEET First Birthday!

Like every first time mom, I started planning for the girls' 1st birthday about 3 months prior. While on vacation, my mom and aunt were brainstorming themes. My aunt (another crafty soul) mentioned lollipops and I ran with it from there. So simple and SWEET! I loved it! Here are a few pictures from their big day. It was a perfect celebration of my two favorite girls! :)

If you're ever in the market for lollipops, Cracker Barrel is the best place to hit! Much cheaper than the cute candy shops. This lollipop centerpiece was so simple and with a few added ribbons, it brought our polka dot and lollipop theme all together. It's amazing what a little polka dot ribbon can do! :)

Since the girls' birthday, I've made a few small changes for new invitation orders. With a polka dot border, I think it's even cuter.

A few leftover cupcakes with their lollipop toppers.... they were very tasty, thanks to Grammie!

The birthday banner was one of my favorite details!

Thanks to "Hostess With the Mostess" for inspiring our very sweet lollipop decor! I loved every minute of preparing for the girls' big day! :)

My Crafty Side

I've always enjoyed being crafty. When the little details all come together, I get really excited, clap my hands and may even let out a little squeal! :) Clay grins when I get all giddy about something so small and I LOVE it when something actually comes out as perfectly as I envisioned it in my head. For better or worse, I am a perfectionist. However, when being crafty, it usually works to my benefit.

For the past 6 years, I put most of my creativity into my 3rd grade classroom. Now that I am home with my girls, I am able to play around with my passions a bit more. I love paper projects, invitations, decorating, photography, and enjoying my sweet twin girls. Put all this together and something has started to emerge.

For the girls' 1st birthday, I had a little too much fun with all the details. I CAN'T WAIT for party #2! Ever since, I've been playing around with some new projects and thought it would be fun to start sharing some of things I've made for myself and others. So here it goes! Hope you enjoy! :)
