The Girls' Garden Party...

I was looking forward to sharing lots of fun pictures today from the girls' garden party, but unfortunately, you will have to wait 2 more weeks. On Friday, I decided to take Julia to the doctor about a cough she had. I knew it was nothing much, but I needed to for my own peace of mind. (And to be able to tell the other moms, "Oh don't worry, she's not contagious!!") Instead, the doctor told me it was a slight case of croup and very contagious. Bummer!!!! Not the news I was expecting at all. She told me that if I was a good friend we would cancel the party. We surely didn't want the party girl to spread the love to her other little friends so that we did. At least the girls are young enough to not realize that their party was bumped back a couple weeks. Anna Claire just keeps asking for these cupcakes that she has been LONG awaiting! Soon, baby, soon! ;)

"Fresh on the Farm" Collection

Over the last week, I've had two orders for the "Fresh on the Farm" party collection and it has quickly become one of my favorites! There are just so many fun ideas to go along with this theme. With September around the corner, this would make a perfect fall birthday or baby shower! The coordinating red, green, and yellow gingham banner reads "Happy 1st Birthday" and hangs on raffia string for the perfect farm look.

Michael's "Back to School" 1st Birthday!

Last weekend, we celebrated with our sweet friend Michael on his 1st Birthday! With a middle of August birthday, a back to school theme was just perfect! School supplies were collected for those in need and also the perfect setting for table decorations. Brown paper bag lunches were ready for the kid meals and "Excellent Student" certificates were given as one of the favors. Michael's mommy is a former classroom teacher so she knows all the cutest details for an ABC party!

My favorite part was the ABC scavenger hunt that she organized. Each child was given a brown paper bag to collect their additional favors. At the count of 1-2-3, the children searched for small items with the coordinating letter card attached. It was the parents' job to tell the letter and item attached such as "P is for Pencil." It was the perfect game for 2 and 3 year olds and the kids just loved filling their bags with goodies! :)

A Picnic in the Garden!

My sweet babies are turning TWO next week!!! It's so hard to believe and I know it only moves faster from here. The girls just LOVE being outside and "helping" me in the yard... usually that means picking up the mulch and putting it in the grass! ;) They are in training though for how to pick weeds! With that and end of the summer garden clearances, a garden picnic party was born! August is a great time to have a garden party at an extra great price! I spotted the most perfect pink and lime watering cans at Target and that is where I began. Here is a peek at the invites that I designed, but there is lots more to come! Party planning is in full gear as their special day is only a week away!!!

Rustic Garden Rehearsal Dinner Invitations

I was honored when one of my college roommates and BFFs asked me to design the invitations for her brother's rehearsal dinner! They are having a of a rustic garden theme, accenting with vines, pots and bird cages. I can just imagine laterns on the tables and beds of moss around the centerpieces. I love the idea of chocolate and greens for an October wedding! I also found some fun inspiration as I was continuing to obsess over the pictures from StyleMePretty.com. Here are a few ideas that would be so fun to go along with this theme. What a pretty fall dinner party this would make!

Style Me Pretty...

A couple days ago, I came across a new blog called stylemepretty.com. WOW!!! It is amazingly beautiful, especially if you are in the wedding planning mode. I tell my husband all the time that I want to have another wedding. Absolutely marrying him again, just another wedding! ;) I LOVED my wedding day and would change very little, but take a peek at this blog and you'll want another wedding to plan too!!

I also just loved looking at all the paper details that are now included in weddings, even banners and cupcake toppers!! I had to post this one photo that I found. Abby, the creator behind Style Me Pretty, kindly gave me permission to share.

I will share some rehearsal dinner invites that I've made real soon and maybe there will even be some wedding invites in the future. That would be exciting! :)

Baby Whale Shower

This baby whale invite was designed to coordinate with the European Cabana Collection from Restoration Hardware. This was my first time to really look at their nursery bedding and oh how cute and classic it is!! Really pretty! I will definitely do some shopping with them if more babies come our way. On a another note, does anyone remember the "Baby Beluga" episode from Full House? Yes, I am an 80s child and LOVED that show! There was an episode where little Michelle sang this "Baby Beluga" song over and over and had it stuck in everyone's heads. While making these invites, that is all I could think of and now have "Baby Beluga" stuck in my head!

Cupcakes and More Cupcakes!

Today, I started telling my girls about their upcoming birthday party and all the details of their special day! (Can't wait to show you what I am working on for their party!!) Of all the details, the only one that seemed to stick in their little minds were cupcakes! I have to say that an almost 2 year old saying "Cup-cakes" is about the cutest thing!! Now, when you ask the girls how old they are going to be it goes something like this... "I two... and cupcakes!"
Here are a few sweet cupcake toppers from a recent order for Baby Howard. They coordinate with the Classic Crib Collection.

Stella's Lollipop Shoppe!

Stella sweetly celebrated her 2nd birthday last month with a lollipop themed party! Her momma ordered some coordinating cupcake toppers and the center for the lollipop invite. With a circle cutter and glue, you can easily assemble a lollipop invite yourself so I simply made the center and Stella's crafty momma did all the rest! I understand that thinking very well! When I saw the same lollipop idea on another crafty blog last year, I said the same thing... "I can make that!" And that is exactly what got me here a year later! If you'd like to throw a lollipop party and just need a little jump start, I can help! :)

The girls' monogrammed lollipop dresses came from uniquelymonogrammed.com. Really cute and custom made for their lollipop party! Photos of Stella's Lollipop Party are compliments of Tara Martindale (taramartindale@yahoo.com). Thanks Tara for the great shots! :)
